Jean Bevan is head of Bevan Kidwell’s Corporate Commercial Department and its Non-Contentious Employment Department. In all her work Jean’s aim is to get the deal done, to give clear constructive advice, to deal with issues in a commercial manner, to understand the client’s business and what is important to the client and to give the client the right level of protection – definitely not to blind the client with legal talk or to put up legal reasons why the deal can’t be done – as opposed to structuring the deal so it can be done.

Jean’s practice covers the full range of corporate commercial work – specific expertise includes acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures and shareholder issues, as well as customer facing documents such as standard terms. Industry expertise includes the financial and regulatory sector (in particular spread betting and CFDs) and human fertilisation and embryology.

Jean’s expertise also includes non-contentious employment matters, such as employment contracts, confidentiality agreements, restrictive covenants and employee benefits.

In another life Jean would have been a professional footballer (female!) – but, that aside, very much enjoys what she does for a living.
